Very nice place. I lived in Tumut for years and every time I come back I stay here. Fred has been amazing, very helpful, welcoming and courteous. Very good value for money. I always get the family room, so spacious. Rooms are very well looked after but what brings me here is the exceptional service.
A bit of a detour from the main if you're heading up the highway between Sydney and Melbourne but a good place to stop for the night. The Elms is right in the middle of town within 5 mins walk of multiple pubs/cafes for dinner/breakfast. Room decor a little old fashioned but very clean and well fitted out (I don't ever remember staying in a motel with a breakfast bar before). The bed was plenty comfy (not a fan of soggy banana beds and it was spot on). The owners were also extremely helpful. I accidentally left something in the room and I got a phone call about an hour down the road...too far to return. Instead - Fred went out of his way to mail it to me.
